Imagine for a moment you are spending a lazy afternoon in one of the quaint little towns scattered across Kentucky, stopping for moment in a local coffee shop to enjoy a fresh hot cup of coffee on a cold cloudy day, when you look out the window and start seeing snow flakes, the only think left to do is grab a camera and a couple who can command your attention. Amanda & Aldo traveled down from Michigan to spend a romantic weekend together in their favorite hide out just a few hours from home, Louisville, the city has captured their hearts as much as each other did. What started out as just another chilly afternoon turned into a winter wonderland with a very romantic twist. We are so looking forward to their September wedding!

A Sunday drive in the out skirts of Atlanta will take you to at least one of Georgia’s 60 state parks, where there are trails to hike and sights to see. This Sunday I opted to head to a park with a waterfall, the website said to be warned of the many stairs that were on this particular 2 mile trail, of course I wasn’t going to let a few stairs stop me from setting out with my camera. These are not your regular stairs, they are seriously steep, I had to keep stopping to catch my breath and let the fire burning in my calfs cool down before trying to walk up the next set. After finally making it to the top I was just too tired to enjoy the view. I realized that I need to start getting out more than once a week! The walk back down seemed to be a bit shaky, no wait that was my legs trying to figure out why I was still making them move.

The drive out to the park was about 2 hours from Atlanta and through winding roads and beautiful scenery. I would like to go back in the winter time and see how different the park looks then. For now here are a few photos from my hike, enjoy!

Today happened to be one of the first days that I really had nothing to do, I woke up early and got my laundry finished and thought it might be fun to check out a local state park, so that is exactly what I did. I haven’t been taking very many pictures since I moved to Atlanta, but since I am still living in a hotel for another week I sort of have a really good excuse?

2010.01 Frosty Morning
—————————————————————————————————————————————–
Having to work on a Saturday morning isn’t all bad, on my way into the office I stopped and took a few pristine photos. This area all ways looks so cool with mist rising off the fields and the old Italian villas looming in the background. Usually in the mornings I sit in my car at a stop light and think I wish I had my camera and the time to take a few  photos even though it is sub par weather. This morning just happend to be the right time at the right place.
